Liverpool Map Design

Overview

Octopus Ink created an illustrative map design for tourists in Liverpool. Various cruises run from the docks and the Liverpool Echo Newspaper wanted a wrap design to boost tourism in Liverpool. The papers were given to passengers on the cruises, and the map highlighted the best places to visit in Liverpool town centre.

At Octopus Ink we love illustration and map design. We begin the project by drawing the roads, and adding street names following the street layouts available on google maps and street view. We created vector 3D buildings to represent the main tourist attractions, and added yellow bubbles to highlight other places of interest.

We received great feedback from the project; “the map has been created so that is it easy to read and follow, as well as being attractive and engaging to the public”.
